Case suffices to protect Kindle (and its screen) from scratches. Leather sides aid in carrying the case. Case does not open completely so that the Kindle can be viewed like a book - it is just a protection for the device. Unzip - pull out Kindle. Case construction is good, and it should last as long as the Kindle. Can't add much more - it is, afterall, just a zipper case.....

The case is great but I was under the impression that you could read with it when in reality you have to remove it from the case to use. Great for travel but I was looking for a case to enclose and protect it while I could still use it at the same time.

Love this case! It protects the Kindle and opens on only 2 sides, so you're less likely to drop it when opening and closing it. Also looks very "professional" in your briefcase.
